Our Activities

Adopt A Cow

The adoption process often involves a financial commitment, which goes towards the cost of feeding, veterinary care, and overall well-being of the adopted cow. In return, adopters may receive updates, photos, or even the opportunity to visit and spend time with their adopted bovine friend.

Feeding

The foundation of a cow’s diet is forage, which includes pasture grasses or hay. Forages are essential for maintaining proper rumen function and promoting healthy digestion. Cows graze on pasture, where they can access a variety of grasses and other plants. Additionally, during seasons or in regions where fresh pasture is limited, farmers provide hay as a supplemental forage source.

Shelter

The primary purpose of a cow shelter is to offer a secure space where cows can rest, eat, and seek refuge. In colder climates, well-insulated barns help protect cows from freezing temperatures, while in hot climates, shelters provide shade and ventilation to prevent heat stress.

Medicine

Cattle health is a priority for farmers, and administering appropriate medicines is a key aspect of maintaining a healthy herd. Common cow medicines include vaccines, antibiotics, and dewormers. Vaccines help prevent diseases like respiratory infections and protect against common pathogens, reducing the risk of illness within the herd.
